Expanded Conference — Ars Electronica 2025

September 3–5, 2025

The thirteenth edition of the Expanded Conference in cooperation, organized by the Hagenberg Campus of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and Ars Electronica, will take place from September 3rd to 5th as part of the Ars Electronica Festival 2025.

From our abstract:

Commonly, VR is seen as a single user experience with sound focused on the ‘sweet spot’. This short paper expands the discussion into the democratization of 360° spatialized sound-image collaborations as evidenced by Earths to Come, which premiered in the 2024 Venice Biennale Cinema Immersive.

My co-writers are my colleagues and Italian sound artists Massimiliano Borghesi, Valeria Zane, and Victor Nebbiolo di Castri.
